This dude was really curious about the slingshot as soon as we showed up at the water the other morning. I handed it to him and told him to shoot it. He stepped up to the water and stuck a spoonie first shot. The kid was a natural!

Bowfishing Association of America (BAA) president, Andy Cardwell, is making things happen these days, both on the water and in his efforts to take the BAA to the next level as the sport of bowfishing continues to boom. The BAA is growing once again with new membership being added and a new generation of bowfishermen jumping on board.
The only association of its kind, the BAA is committed to fighting for the rights of bowfishermen and to create new opportunities for bowfishing across the country.
Big things are happening for Andy on the water as well. Andy is the new BAA Kentucky State and BAA World Record holder with this monster 66 lb flathead!!! Way to go, Andy!
If you're not a member of the BAA already, be sure to check out their website and get signed up today. Check it out at: http://www.bowfishingassociation.com/join-today-with-bba/

The KY Lake Big 12n12 tournament held this past weekend wrapped up with several teams checking in with some great fish. It was the first year for the tournament held in the Paris area as a fundraiser for Covenant Ranch. 17 teams showed up to compete. Despite the cooler overnight temperatures, the event went off well and it was a great time to meet teams from TN, KY, and IN.
Things have been slow on KY Lake lately with cooler temperatures and fish leaving some of their normal hangouts for this time of year. But several teams managed to find good fish and cash in at the KY Lake Big 12n12 this weekend near Paris, TN. Here's a look at the first place team from middle Tennessee.
